Head Coach Brian Gaither of Pinole Valley High School girls varsity did a wonderful job putting together a jamboree scrimmage showcasing some of NorCal finest programs in the area. Here’s a recap of some of the programs we witnessed!
Salesian was the most complete basketball program in the gym. They could shoot, rebound, defend at a high level and turn up tempo. The guard depth is very good for Steve Pezzola and the Pride, which will be key in matching up against some of Nor-cal better teams. We expect the Pride to make a deep run this season with Junior Guard Makiah Asidanya, Junior Guard Sofia Fidelus, Junior Wing D’yani Bernstine, and Sophomore Guard Madalyn Kanazawa. This core all made big plays on Saturday. This core was very energetic and fun to watch.
